FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Everything pizzeria owners ask us before they try their first bag.

What exactly is Krisp-It?
Krisp-It is a moisture-absorbent topping conditioner. It’s a special formula of all-natural ingredients — bleached wheat flour, salt, sugar and yeast — that absorbs the oil and water released by pizza toppings before they can soak into your crust.
Will it change how my pizza tastes or looks?
No. Krisp-It does not change the taste, consistency, or appearance of your pizza. It goes under the toppings, so customers never see it — they just notice the pizza arrives crisp.
How much do I use per pizza?
Between ½ and 1 oz per pizza. Because every operation’s toppings release different amounts of oil and water, you’ll dial in the right amount for your pies within a few test runs.
Do I mix it into my dough?
Never. Krisp-It is not a dough additive. It’s sprinkled onto the pie during assembly — always under the toppings, on the center two-thirds of the pizza.
What does it cost?
Pennies per pizza. Most operators find it pays for itself many times over in repeat delivery orders, better reviews, and fewer remakes and refunds.
Does it work on anything besides pizza?
Yes — Krisp-It prevents calzones from going soggy, keeps lasagna from running, stops cheese from sliding off slices, and absorbs oil puddles on a finished pie in about 8 seconds.
How do I know it actually works?
Run the 30-minute box test: make two identical pepperoni-and-vegetable pies, one with Krisp-It and one without. Box both for 30 minutes and compare. The difference is obvious the moment you open the boxes. See the full instructions.
Where is Krisp-It made?
Krisp-It is proudly made in the USA.
How do I get a free sample?
First-time customers get a FREE bag. Call 1-800-KRISP-IT (800-574-7748) or email sales@krisp-it.com and we’ll send one out.
